This wonderful sculpture was made by Auguste Rodin’s hand, just after the turn of the new century. It stands as a symbol of the relationship between the artist and his inspiration and captures Rodin’s belief in the power of the imagination. This work was acquired by a private Russian collector in St. Petersburg, before the First World War, when it was truly contemporary art!
